Treating ourselves with a spontaneous mini getaway to the lovely North York Moors! It's been a fabulous day of hiking from Ravenscar to Robin Hood's Bay and back again, then pre-glamping feasting at a cozy pub near Scarborough. Sunshine + nature + cake + playing with sledgehammers and rock bars again = a very good day indeed. It's been an enjoyable first day as a Volunteer Ranger at Hardcastle Crags.
And with that final river crossing, my 7-week adventure living and working in Iceland's Þórsmörk and Gođaland has finished. The sky was crying a bit and so was I. But it's not goodbye; I will return.
