I know I’m posting this a little bit late, but better late than never, right?!
I’m bidding 2019 a fairly fond farewell (…and hoping you are able to do the same), whilst wishing welcome to the new year, and indeed, the new decade.
It’s difficult to believe that it’s now 2020 – not only a new year, but a new decade. We’re living in the future, y’all.
For me, 2019 was a banner year. In many ways it has been one of my favorites thus far. A 6-month sabbatical – slow, deep travel in Montenegro, Sweden, and Iceland. Mother and daughter adventures in Mom’s native Scotland. Catching the volunteering bug. The sale and publication of my first piece of travel writing. Our 5th anniversary, Nick and I. A plethora of good things.
I enter 2020 hopeful albeit a little uncertain, and that’s fine. I believe the little uncertainties will in part be my teacher this year, guiding me towards a more accepting, mindful, patient, and self-compassionate way of being.
How was your 2019, and what are your thoughts about this new year, new decade?
Here’s wishing each and every one of you a year filled with joyful moments, fulfilling work, pleasing adventures, good health, and so much more.
